Inspiring women in Belgium: Meet Andreea Astilean

The Womenpreneur Initiative is launching a series about inspiring women entrepreneurs in Belgium. Its aim is to increase awareness about female role models in the Belgian community.

Today, we present to you Andreea Astilean. She is a mentor and coach with 8 years of experience in international environments. 

Recently, Andreea held a coaching session about self-confidence and self-empowerment in our GenerationW program which was a very positive and engaging experience for our candidates. With help from Andreea, they explored their own experiences as a method to help grow and to boost your self-confidence and courage. 

Andreea Astilean

Andreea has quite an impressive academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, followed by a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management/Personnel Administration from Babes Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca, Romania. She has also acquired a diploma in Personal, Leadership and Executive Coaching from Kingstown College and a Doctoral degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Moreover, she has gathered work experiences from different organisations and associations, such as the Youth Development Association in Romania, the European Voluntary Service in Barcelona and the Council of the European Union.

Coaching professionals and young leaders

Andreea is an accredited coach from the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). In 2013 she established Coaching 4EU, an organisation that offers anything from individual coaching, personal branding and leadership sessions, as well as partnership engagement with different entities and countries that are funded by the European Union. Coaching 4EU has developed and implemented projects like the training courses, “Better Start Coaching” in Poland and “Coaching to Unleash Potential” in Bulgaria. Andreea focuses especially on young leadership talents. 

Reflective, transformative and empowering coaching approach

In her work as coach, Andreea applies a positive psychology approach that transforms, empowers and creates space for personal growth. She encourages her clients to be reflective and uncover blindspots to make them see their human potential. Andreea does this in a very supportive way that is unique in every encounter she has with someone who seeks her help and guidance.
