The Womenpreneur Initiative presents a series of inspiring women entrepreneurs in Belgium. Meet Hassania El Youssfi!

The Womenpreneur Initiative is launching a series about inspiring women entrepreneurs in Belgium. Its aim is to increase awareness about female role models in the Belgian community.

Today, we present to you Hassania El Youssfi! Hassania is a consultant, trainer and speaker in leadership development and she has founded her own business, Talentec Coaching

Hassania spoke at one of our recent events in our GenerationW programme, “Perfectionnez vos Compétences en Leadership”, which was a great success. Our candidates got many useful insights from Hassania’s experience about what it means to be a successful leader and how to develop people’s professional goals. These insights stem from her incredible life achievements.

Hassania El Youssfi

Hassania holds a Ph.D. in Geology (Micropaleontology and Stratigraphy) from the Faculty of Science Rabat at Mohammed V University, in cooperation with Université Claude Bernard in Lyon. After her studies, Hassania worked for the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Morocco where she managed the cooperation in geological mapping. Hassania has also been involved in remote sensing projects in Europe and participated in mapping mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Passionate about developing people’s vision and leadership skills

Hassania’s career took a turn when she decided to focus on leadership development and training. With about 25 years of practical experience in management and international cooperation, Hassania provides training in leadership while being attentive to the well-being and development of people. For instance, she has designed a collaborative diagnostic tool with PitchPartner, a tool that is intended to develop performance inside an organisation. Moreover, she has held the position of President of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, EMCC Belgium. Finally in 2016, she became a certified coach, teacher and speaker at the John Maxwell Team. Now, she runs Talentec Coaching, an organisation that supports people, teams and companies in achieving high-performance. Hassania describes herself as having excellent listening skills, a sharp sense of perception and the will for positive evolution in people’s vision.

Hassania’s guide to successful leadership

Hassania has gathered many insights to good leadership throughout the years. Her pieces of advice to women are:

  1. It is normal to make mistakes and it is a good thing. Our mistakes make us grow, our difficult path will make us grow;
  2. Take small steps to achieve your main goal. Organize your priorities and advance step by step;
  3. Opt for SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) goals.
